Fremington Edge, Reeth, Swaledale, North Yorkshire, England

Whilst Weardale is famous for its purple fluorite, Swaledale fluorite tends to be colourless or yellow so it is unusual to find a purple fluorite from here. This specimen from Fremington Edge has pale lilac cubes to 8mm, the colour being accentuated along the edges of the crystal.
