Pyromorphite from the Pennines is quite rare, the limestone environment generally produces carbonates where weathering has taken place. There are isolated occurances and this is from one in Arkengarthdale. The specimen shows individual stubby crystals many aggregating into stellate groups, all formed over an altered limestone matrix..
