Pyromorphite from the Pennines is quite rare, the limestone environment generally produces carbonates where weathering has taken place. There are isolated occurances and this is from one in Arkengarthdale. The specimen shows individual well formed stubby and prismatic crystals to about 3mm formed over an altered limestone matrix.
