From the days when the British Steel Corp. worked the mine, this specularite/kidney ore specimen displays well from either the top or bottom. One way shows off the 'top' convex outer shell of specularite with a little hematite showing whilst turning it upside down reveals the concave layers of kidney ore the surface of which is liberally dusted with sparkling individual specularite crystals.
