Scheelite

Carrock Mine, Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria, England

623

When Carrock mine was being worked massive scheelite was relatively common but crystalised specimens were always rare.  This unusual specimen hosts a group of light brown pyramidial crystals to 12mm on a matrix of massive scheelite with a little mica.  Comes with an old label which i think might be E. H. Shackletons.
