Sidi Lahcen Mine, Djebel Ouichane, Segangane, Nador, Morocco
434
Sidi Lahcen Mine has produced some stunning blue barite recently and also these 'floaters' that i found amazing when i saw them at the Munich show. This specimen was eye-catching ,the crystals being sharply formed, lots of striations and with a colour gradation from off-white at the base to a dark straw colour around the edges. They have an amazing mirror bright lustre. This specimen also has a dusting of marcasite crystals.
