Matrixless barytocalcite specimen with crystals up to 12mm, quite large for this rare carbonate. The crystals are off- white to grey in colour of a matt lustre and  show clearly the monoclinic form of barytocalcite.  Significant surface pseudomorphing by barite.  Found at Howgill Sike in material moved from Blaigill mine.
