Skears Mine, Middleton in Teesdale, County Durham, England

Crystallised Fluorite from Teesdale is rarely seen. This specimen from Skears Mine is a floater with dark cubes to 8mm on all sides wih an area of aragonite coating. The colour of the fluorite is probably that of the underlying matrix, the cubes being transparent.
