Interesting specimen as malachite is unusual in the North Pennines and rarely seen from the mines in Scordale, famour for their superb amber coloured fluorite. The specimen shows numerous small vugs containinfg sprays of well formed aciclar malachite in an iron rich fluorite matrix with unusually, a little chalcopyrite.
