Old Towns Quarry, Middridge, Newton Aycliffe. Co. Durham, England
2349
Good example of an rare and unusual form of crystallisation called 'reticulated' fluorite. Sharp elongated fluorite crystals most in parallel alignment form a pattern across the display face of the specimen associated with a little calcite. As far as I know Old Towns quarry is the only location in Britain where this form of fluorite occurs.
