Bushy Creek mine, Reynolds County, Missouri, USA
2197
Bushy Hill mine is an American classic for Calcite and Chalcopyrite/Marcasite combinations and was re-worked for specimens in the 1990. The two generational aspect of specimens is well demonstrated here - marcasite crystal have enveloped first generation calcite and then a later generation of calcite has formed without any later sulphide development. Interesting and very aesthetic specimen. Slight nick to one of the calcite crystals. Original label gives exact location as the 1100 ft level on Drift 106.
