Hungry Hushes, Langthwaite, Arkengarthdale, North Yorkshire, England
2135
Pyromorphite from the Pennines is quite rare, the limestone environment generally produces carbonates where weathering has taken place. There are isolated occurances and this is from one in Arkengarthdale. The specimen shows aggregated stubby pyromorphite crystals of a matt lustre possible cause by a thin over-layer of plumbogummite.
