Datolite occurances are a rarity in Cornwall and the UK generally. This specimen from the Lizard penisula has well formed transparent crystals to about 3mm of a high lustre.  Interestingly, viewed under the microscope, the specimen shows associated species with the datolite - Natrolite, Chalcopyrite and possibly Heulandite and Chabazite or prehnite
