Double sided specimen with pastel-green spheroidal boracite partly overgrown on one side by a second generation of transparent pale blue crystals. Boulby mine no longer works the evaporite bed where the boracite occured. The colour of boracite deepens when viewed in incandescent lighting compared to daylight.
