Fluorite

Sully Island, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales

Sully island is a rare locality for fluorite where it occurs sparingly in thin mineralised veins in Carboniferous limestone. This specimen, collected in 1998 has small colourless fluorites to about 1.5mm scattered across one face of the limestone matrix. Ex. Richard Braithwaite specimen
