Hamburgite on Quartz

Hamburgite is a rare beryllium borate that occurs in pegmatites. The Skardu district in Pakistan has produced some fine specimens - this one, a 'floater', has three individual uncontacted quartz crystals hosting a rich covering of sharp Hamburgite crystals.
