Axinite-Fe

The Kharan area is known for fine brookites but in recent years a few excellent Axinite specimens have also been appearing. This is a large gemmy single crystal from there with sharp crystal faces and good transparency. It also exhibits dichroism appearing purple in colour from some angles and clove-brown in others.
