Hollywell Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, Co. Durham, England

Specimens from here are not common, Hollywell being a small mine at the eastern end of the orefield, the workings now partly quarried away. Numerous pale purple twins are set off in relief on a bed of smaller single cubes. A few small nicks to the crystals but an attractive and unusual specimen. Ex. Keith Burr collection
