Chalcopyrite pseudomorph after chalcocite

These unusual pseudomorphs were found in the 1980's for a short time at Judkins quarry, in the West Midlands.  This is a fine example of chalcopyrite thought to be after acicular chalcocite some crystals being up to 14mm associated with a little calcite and sugary barite.  For further details see Roy Starkey's book  'Minerals of the English Midlands' -  Page 323.
