Barite pseudomorph after Alstonite

Barite pseudomorph after Alstonite

2nd Sun Vein, Nentsberry Haggs Mine, Nenthead, Cumbria, England

This is a particularly fine specimen from the find some years ago of alstonite replaced by barite.  Where they can be seen the crystals centres show a little remnant alstonite and the barite has faithfully retained the original hexagonal habit.
