Cerussite is not a common mineral in Weardale but a find at Redburn mine in the 1970's produced some very rich specimens. This is one of them with interlocking acicular crystals up to 10mm long. As with most pieces from this find the cerussite is accompanied by minor limonite and traces of copper minerals.
