Old Towns Quarry, Middridge, Newton Aycliffe. Co. Durham, England

Reference: 1210

Excellent example of unusual reticulated fluorite. Cavities in dolomitic limestone show sharp elongated fluorite crystals most in parallel alignment. As far as I know Old Town quarry is the only location in Britain where this form of fluorite occurs.
