Gutterby Pit, Cleator Moor, Cumbria, England
1169
Gutterby Pit, an old iron mine, is well known for its creamy pink barite but occasionally it produced some amazingly colourful fluorite. Sat on an iron rich limestone, coarsely crystalline fluorite of a rich deep blue colour make this a very appealing specimen.
