Harmotome

Fee Donald Mine, Strontian, Highland region, Scotland

Based on the size of the mine tips Fee Donald clearly was an extensive mine yet harmotome is very difficult to find there compared to Bellsgrove and Strontian mines. This specimen collected some years ago has a display face richly covered with lustrous harmotome crystals from micro to 3mm across.
